San Diego Zoo

The world-famous San Diego Zoo presents a stunning variety of nature’s largest, smallest, exotic, and most endangered creatures. The epic zoo has more than 3,700 animals representing over 800 species in a beautifully landscaped 100 acres (40.5 hectares), typically in lush enclosures that replicate their natural habitat. San Diego Zoo is considered to be one of the best and well-known zoos in the world, and is a must-see attraction in sunny Southern California.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park, part of the larger San Diego Zoo, is an 1,800-acre (728-hectare) open-range park housing some 3,500 animals from about 430 species. The park’s open layout allows herds of giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and other animals indigenous to Africa to roam the re-created valley floor.

Legoland California

Come play your part at LEGOLAND® California Resort, located just 30 minutes north of San Diego and one hour south of Anaheim. With more than 60 rides, shows and attractions, it’s an interactive, hands-on theme park experience for families with children 2 – 12. The Resort is also home to SEA LIFE® Aquarium and the world’s first LEGOLAND® Water Park. And if you’ve ever dreamed of spending the night at LEGOLAND, LEGOLAND Hotel and LEGOLAND Castle Hotel at the Resort are open and less than 2 miles from the nearest beach.

Sea World San Diego

Sealife Focused Adventure theme park, featuring many different animals, and fish species. located close to mission bay and featuring many different rides, roller coasters and attractions. Foods not bad but caters to kids. Roller Coasters are real big and for all ages. 

South Carlsbad State Beach

South Ponto Beach is a rare gem in that it is one of the widest beaches in the county and exists in an undeveloped area.

South Ponto Beach offers a full array of activities, including swimming, surfing, sunbathing, and beach volleyball. You’ll have to bring your own net. The beach is a popular surf spot with occasional surfing events.

Coast Hwy 101 hugs the shoreline here, with Batiquitos Lagoon on the other side of the highway. The beach is a popular family destination, and only one of the few beaches in the area that has public restrooms and showers.

moonlight state beach

This wide, sandy beach offers swimming, surfing and fishing. Facilities include volleyball and tennis courts, recreational equipment rentals and a snack bar.

The “moonlight” in the name of this beach comes from the fact that local residents used to come to the area for midnight picnics early in the early 1900s.

Great For kids and big families, close to Downtown Encinitas for awesome lunches and eats!

Stone Brewery World bistro & Gardens Escondido

Terrific Food, large beer selection , stone fixtures and flooring huge outdoor garden and pond seating area. close by The Ranch only 10 minutes down quiet country road. Not a place to miss when in San Diego, escpically for those that enjoy a stronger brew. 

San Diego Museum of Us/Balboa Park

The San Diego Museum of Man explores the meaning and mysteries of human culture, from ancient Egypt and native Californian Kumeyaay people to the history of beer making and cannibalism. Interactive exhibits take visitors through thousands of years of anthropology, all inside a landmark Spanish colonial building in Balboa Park.

Many other museums also on park grounds (Space, Natural history, etc.)
